C.C. vs Lester looked to be a pitcher's duel. Again the offenses exploded and the arms were ineffective. Boston was nursing a 5-3 lead when NY erupted for 3 in the 6th off of Bard and Delcarmen, all with 2 out. El Capitan doubled, Damon worked out a walk in a classic AB. Both runners executed a perfect double steal, which rattled Del Carmen, who was then greeted to a Tex-message that wrapped around the Pesky pole in right. Capitan, Derek Jeter hit a grand slam that almost found it's way to the Mass Pike, which is where most of the fans began heading towards. Boston went down fighting. They scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th off of Mo, who never does well in non save situations. David Ortiz hit is 5th homer in 5 straight games to make it 10-8, but Mo wasn't about to give up anymore. Boston just didn't have enough firepower to keep up with the Bronx Bombers, who will now face the Dodgers in the Fall Classic.
